Terms of play
Embershire is a free game run by one person. By creating an account or playing, you agree to these terms, the rules and the privacy notice. Last updated on 12 October 2026.
Playing
- You must be 13 or over (or the age of digital consent where you live, if higher).
- You’re responsible for your account and your password. Keep them private; staff will never ask for it.
- Follow the rules. We can mute, suspend or permanently remove an account that breaks them, and we decide what counts as breaking them.
The game and what’s in it
- Everything in the game (items, coins, levels, titles and the account itself) is a virtual thing with no cash value. It belongs to no one, you can’t sell it for money, and we can change, rebalance or remove it at any time.
- Embershire is provided as it is, free of charge, and may be unavailable, slow or reset. We don’t promise it will always be available, or that progress is never lost. We do make a nightly backup.
- We may update or stop the game, and delete inactive or abandoned accounts after notice on What’s new.
What you say and do
- You’re responsible for what you write in chat and in names. Don’t post anything illegal or someone else’s private information.
- You give us permission to show, store and moderate what you write in the game so that it can run. We don’t claim any other rights over it.
- Don’t attack, overload or try to break into the game or other players’ accounts, and don’t use bots or modified clients. If you find a security problem, please report it to [email protected] rather than using it.
Responsibility
As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for losses from using, or not being able to use, a free game, and nothing here limits any right you have that can’t be limited by contract. Embershire’s own software, artwork and writing belong to its owner; the game is not affiliated with any other game or company.
